My impending adventure --

Yes, it's me -- blogging. I know, hard to believe. It's actually me stalling too. Stalling because I have about two hundred things to do, but I'm really, really tired today. And I have a big adventure looming ahead of me tomorrow. So like the stellar procrastinator that I am, I decided to take a break. What I'd really like is a nap! But my kids don't believe in Mommy napping, so no sleep for me!

So -- what's this big adventure?? My kids call it our "Grand Adventure". I secretly call it " The Insanity Tour", but shhhhh -- don't tell them! It's a road trip. A very long road trip. Just the three of them and me. Crazy I think -- but exciting. They have been counting down the days. And while I'm a bit nervous, I am excited about spending this time with them, visiting family and friends. It should be fun -- and exhausting. And I should have lots of funny stories and wonderful memories when all is said and done.

As a bonus, I get to meet some good friends from Croppers Cottage -- and I cannot wait. I feel so lucky and am looking very forward to it.

Okay -- I've stalled long enough and had better get busy, but as I leave you, I must share my four-year old daughter's favorite new joke she made up. I find it quite funny -- I may be the only one, but for a four-year old, I thought it quite ingenious!

My youngest turns two on Friday so we have been asking him, "How old is Nicholas going to be?" Then we show him two fingers and say "TWO!" in a very excited voice -- like it's the best thing in the world. So the other day, Rachel said to him, "How old is Nicholas going to be??? (she pauses then says) ahhhhhh -- TWO!" followed by, "Get it Mom -- AH - TWO -- like I sneezed!!!" Maybe you had to be there, but it really was quite funny.

Needless to say, we have now added this to our game with Nicholas.... "ahhhh --- two!! God bless you!"

On that note -- farewell -- and say a prayer for us as we begin our insane, grand, wonderful adventure!
