Three days in a row…would you say I’m on a roll???
I have been up for two hours and done a lot of nothing. It took me until about half an hour ago to really feel awake. And now I need to get moving, but appear to be glued to my chair. (I may need you to send help!)
I have a question for you today. Do you think feeling restless and unsettled in your life is a good thing or a bad thing? I feel that way a lot. And while I know the main cause of it, I often wonder – is it good to have that feeling? Does it make me work harder to get to a better place? Or does it simply agitate me to the point of doing nothing? I’m not sure. I think it does both – depending on the day. I don’t ever want to be complacent and not work to make myself and/or my life better, but it would be nice to feel a bit more content. Know what I mean?
I want to be a better mom. I want to be a better friend. I want to be a better relative. I want to learn more, do more, give more. Are we always supposed to feel that way? Or does it mean I’m not trying hard enough?
(And darn it, am I asking way too many questions today???? LOL)
How about you? Do you feel a certain amount of restlessness on a regular basis?
Just wondering….
So now that I’ve GRILLED you with my questions – I wish you a wonderful, peaceful, content and restful day!

I think I feel a little restless every now and then, but for the most part I am happy where I am at. I thikn you are right though, you wouldn't want to be completely complacent....things would be boring. Have a super day

hmmm, this is very thought-provoking for a Monday morning. I think that I agree with you that feeling a bit unsettled can make you push harder, but I do think that it could be bad when you feel that way all the time. I would think that might lead to a depression, but as long as it is pushing you to better your life, I don't think that is a bad thing. I think that a bit of a challenge is what we all need to keep going...
smiles!
If we all settled for what we had, we would never try to better ourselves. As long as you are aware that you don't necessarily like the fact that you feel this way, there is hope. You can do anything you set your mind to. I know exactly where you are coming from. Its one of the (many) reasons I am in therapy. Change is constant, its your attitude towards it that makes it a good thing or a bad thing. Use your resources and don't be afraid to ask for help. You are less alone than you may think.
**hope I am not being to forward. just can totally understand your mind set.***
I feel this way every day of my life my Friend! I guess that's why we have so much in common! Keep your chin up!
I think restlessness is part of a growing process in our lives. I too feel restless at times and many times I feel paralized by it, but I think it can be a great motivator.
Great Question.
I have to say it's a feeling of growing, not always fun or pleasant, but believe me there will be a time when these kinda feeling will subside and you have a much more peaceful filling inside. Oh let say when your over 40... LOL
As everyone else has said, a little restlessness is good and usual, but too much is exhuasting, and I'm right there with you at the moment. I hope you can find the happy medium.
Hmm I think I always feel a bit of restlessness. For the most part satisfied where I am in my life but not where I am..as in living right now and the restrictions money puts on what you can and can't do.
