Meet Cally...

Once again, I have to mention my friend Alice.

(She might start charging me a fee for making mention of her so often!)

Through Alice, I found her friend
Cally's blog. Cally is not only incredibly creative, as you will see from her handmade items -- but she is a great writer. So if you get a chance -- go say hello. Check out her shop -- read a few of her entries. In fact, there is a link on her blog right now that will break your heart -- but it's a huge reality check. In fact, I'll just put the link right here -- Lucy's Story -- what an example of faith and strength.

Back to Cally... I met her just once, but let me tell you -- she amazed me. She has five beautiful children. And she is willing to take them out for fun -- all by herself. This makes me -- pathetic, inadequate me -- realize that I need to get a grip. I take my three children out and nearly have a nervous breakdown half the time, just trying to keep an eye on all of them.

Isn't blogging amazing sometimes?? We can find inspiration and laughs from our friends -- and from complete strangers. So go see Cally -- you won't be disappointed!

Cally seems to always have the same effect on people...."ah man, if Cally can do it, why can't I?" ha ha

She really is amazing, but one thing she CAN'T do is decorate cakes...that makes me feel better from time to time.

I haven't figured anything else out that she can't do, but I will let you know when I find something.

I am so glad that you guys got to meet. I hope we can all hang out again sometime. You guys are BOTH such great moms and leave me wondering how I can be better.

P.S. you can mention me on your blog any time. ;)

Yes, that is talent. Something I have not found yet.

I also read Lucy's Story. Wow. I will pray for them. Such a strong family, and such great faith in the Lord. That what lifes about.

Thanks for sharing!

Don't under estimate yourself, Miss Rita :0)
I think we all have our special gifts and our limits. Others gifts and limits do not make our experiences any less valid! But I think we can find strength from other women and their abilities. I know I am inspired by so many different women, you included :0)
Thanks for sharing!

Its a beautiful post and the above two comments say what I wanted to say in better words than what I can think of right now...
Thanks for sharing Lucy's story, I'll pray for the family.

You are so nice. Gee.

Let me remind you, it was you who inspired me to be more organized and gutsy in mommy world; you, the totally cute mom handing out popsicles to a park full of crazy kids. That's pre-meditated smarts.

Inspiration at it's finest.

Thanks for your incredibly nice words, Rita.
