Happy October Everyone! Can you believe it's here already??
I LOVE October -- it's my favorite month of the year. I just love the season, the change in temps, the inevitable trip to the pumpkin patch. As a child, maybe I was in love with October because my birthday is this month. Of course birthdays aren't as exciting anymore -- but I still love my birth month.
The only thing I hate about October is once it comes -- you KNOW the rest of the year is going to fly by. It will be a blur and before I know it I'll be wishing you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
This year though, I have to admit -- it's all gone by pretty quickly. I have no idea where August and September went. So maybe I just need to realize I'm getting older...my kids are getting older...and life just goes quickly period.
Speaking of my birthday -- this year I will turn 39. My husband has been harping on the fact that I am dangerously close to 40. I have a whole year before that happens, and yet he keeps on bringing it up. I am not one to freak out about my age -- because really, what can you do about it? Not a darn thing. But it does seem awfully strange to think I will be hitting that milestone next year. Forty....wow! If anything, it makes me anxious to achieve a few of my goals by the time that day comes. It should motivate me a bit more I hope.
I was planning to post some pictures today of recent activities, but just realized they are not yet loaded on the computer. So for today, I will leave you with a wish for a wonderful October. Chat with you soon!

Yes, another year is quickly drawing to a close.
I, too am realizing life is going so fast. Roger will be 40 this December---EEKS!
I'm trying to plan a surprise party for him in November to really throw him off. Although forty is just a number I don't want to reach it yet, I am not ready. I feel like I want to accomplish more things and have more goals set for myself. It's almost like 40 is a climax--then everything is downhill from there, so to speak.
I'm a big fan of fall and October is my birthday month so it's a favorite of mine too. Still I just don't know where the year has gone already. Seems we rush the weeks to get to the weekend then we say how did the time go so fast. I've always thought that once the kids start school the time seems to fly even faster.
October is so my favorite month as well! :) And you are so right about the rest of the year flying by right after. Although 2008 period has gone just to fast for me.
OK you are a little close to 40 than me, but I am not far behind you. Only about a year and a half. But haven't you heard that 40 is the new 30 ;0)

Yes, it's almost birthday time for you. Enjoy this 39th year, because from someone who is a little past that age, the advise for you is to exercise, be food smart, and always keep moving, or that 40 might not be so pretty. Just preparing you! wink!
Oh I have to add - you will be a lot smarter when you get into your 40's.. see there are some good things about it.
Okay I am revamping my previous comments. You do not need to worry about getting older. I have seen the "night out" pictures. You party girl. hee hee
Yes, my 40th is THIS year, This October! I sorta feel like my skin may melt off my bones on the 22nd. LOL Not really but it is strange to hit a milestone when your not ready! Enjoy your Year!! LOL
