but I am disappointed. I was trying really hard to convince myself that I wasn't disappointed -- but I am.
In my experience, a book is always better than the movie they make of it, so I was not expecting to like this movie as much as I enjoyed the book. But when I went to see Twilight last night and the movie ended, I didn't necessarily feel disappointed initially -- but I felt a little indifferent. I had lost the excitement I had when we walked into the theater. For me -- it was a let down.
It wasn't awful -- I did like it to a certain extent. And it did lay the groundwork for the next installment of the story. I won't say anything that may ruin it for all you other Twilighters who still need to see the movie. I hope you enjoy it and I actually am hoping if I watch it again when it's out on DVD, I'll learn to like it a little better.
That's all I've got today. I am blogging because I am stalling. I've been working on a photo project today and I needed a break from it -- but now, I should probably get back to work.
Hope you're having a great weekend!

I don't think I've ever seen a movie based on a book that I thought matched the level of enjoyment I had for the book. Even Harry Potter, as good as they are, there's something about reading those words and seeing the images in your own mind...
I agree about the movie, but the company I was with was great.
I am going to definately watch it again because I really want to love it, ya know.
Have fun on your project.
This is good to know. I had already decided that I was going to wait until Twilight came to the cheap shows to go see it, and was wondering if I was going to regret it. It sounds like I'm making a good decision.
Good luck on the procrastination - I mean, project.
That is a bummer, I get bummmed when I want to see a movie really bad and it is not what you expect.
At least the books are great.
Have fun with your project.
I'm waiting for the dollar show and then I just CAN'T be disappointed!
I've only just read Twilight & absolutely loved it. Not really sure now if I want to watch the movie. I think I'll wait till my niece has seen it (she's a huge and I mean huge fan for the Twilight series) and if she's disappointed I'll just get the next book & carry on reading.
Have a good Monday.
You know, Rita, I just blogged about the same thing. Truthfully, I wasn't as disappointed as I thought I would be because all the reviews I had read were just awful. So I went in with low expectations. I think that helped. And I was ok with it. Not a great movie by any means, but not as bad as I feared. Hopefully, they'll get the next one "right" :0)
I just requested these books from the library, after hearing all the hoopla about them. I'm *semi* patiently waiting to get them. Seems there is a list of waiters for them. So, it's good to know what you thought about the movie. I'll definitely wait to rent it or see it at the dollar show.
Hope you're doing well!
