Well, geesh -- when I made my last post I had every intention of posting again that very same day or possibly the next and all of a sudden it's January 4th. Oops -- so much for getting it done! LOL
Anyway... here's why I've decided to call 2009 the year of getting it done.
The beginning of a new year is a time when I think most of us have that feeling of motivation -- a clean slate, a fresh start. Not only is it a new year for me -- it's the year I turn 40. FORTY!!! I can't really wrap my brain around it yet, but here's what I do know. I'll be forty and there are so many things I want to do -- and darn it, what am I waiting for??? Time certainly isn't slowing down and obviously, I'm not getting any younger. Time to get it done, wouldn't you say??
I have a really awful habit of concocting what I think are great ideas in my head...and then not acting on them. Laziness, lack of self-confidence, fear of rejection, lack of time, feeling overwhelmed at how to get from point A to point B -- so many things keep me from moving forward when I have an idea. Then my ideas just kind of fall to the wayside and time marches on and before I know it six months have passed.
I know not all of my ideas can come to fruition. But I'll never know which ideas will pay off if I don't get organized and act on them. So this year -- it's time to get it done! (And although I am not a superstitious person by any means, I have always thought that odd numbered years are nicer to me than even numbered years...crazy, I know! LOL)

First of all, I hope your backs doing better.
Yeah, there is so much I want to do too, but I have the worst anxiety, and it holds me back. I feel like life is going to pass me by. Every year, I try harder not to let it get the best of me, and for the most part, each year gets easier and I win. (or at least thats what I tell myself) I am my biggest fan. LOL
Your young and beautiful, enjoy it.
Whoohooo! Here is for "getting it done!" I know you can do it, Rita! smiles...
All those reasons for not "getting it done" I can relate!

Turning 38 this year and it seems like there is so much still to accomplish, see and do!
I love your enthusiasm Rita. Keep it going girl it's catchy. I got it done with getting my scrap area better organized and starting to organize other areas of the house as well this weekend, and got two layouts done today. WooHoo!

Being 40 isn't all bad you know!! I know!!

Sometimes just getting past the first step in something is all it takes to make the rest easier. I find that to be true with most of my endeavors. Even creating your own space for whatever it is you'd like to do totally helps. I'm saying that because---I have no space of my own and I know I could accomplish a lot more if I did. I have faith in you, You CAN do it!!!!
I hope you get everything accomplished that you want to get done! 40 is not bad at all. UGH I'll be 50 this year:(

Oh Rita, I feel the same way...just get it done!!!! I know we can do it!!!! And 40 will be a great year for you!!! It'll be 45 for me and I'm looking forward to it!!!
