Thank goodness for my mom!

There are so many reasons I'm thankful for my mom. She raised me on her own (with the help of my grandparents, but mostly on her own) and while we don't always see eye to eye, we are similar in a lot of ways. She is always there for me no matter what and has had to listen to me vent more than any mother should have to -- God bless her!

Recently, I started working on a theme album as part of my design team assignment for Croppers Cottage. My theme is funny things my kids say -- words they mispronounce, or just funny stories about them. Now, while I try to be a good mom and write down everything, I don't always do a very good job of it. However, I have been known on many occassions to e-mail my mom with these stories. I'm her only child and she hates being so far away from me and her grandkids, so I try to share funny little things with her about the kids whenever I can, just to make her smile.

So -- as I started working on my album, I realized, I had some things written down, but not nearly as many as I hoped. Maybe I have some more stashed away somewhere, but who knows when those will surface. The kids could be off to college before I find them! Anyway -- my dear, sweet mom, who loves the stories I send her about her grandkids, has saved probably every little e-mail I have sent her. And today, she e-mailed them back to me in one big document. Not only did I get a good laugh as I read through what I had sent, but now I am inspired to scrap some more pages in my album. And she also included some stories SHE had written down from times spent with my little monkeys.

So today I say -- thank goodness for my mom -- who is more amazing and wonderful than words can say for so many reasons!

How lucky you are to have a mom that thoughtful! How many times do we say we'll remember things, and "poof" it's gone! I can't wait to see your theme album, Rita!
