Add it to the "Things that are just plain evil" list...

Today I was driving by Chick-Fil-A. Their sign said "Try our new Coffee Caramel Shake".

If that's not evil, I don't know what is! Coffee -- and Caramel -- in one shake?? I somehow resisted the urge to drive my car across their lawn to get myself one....but I am quite certain it will not take me too long to find a reason to head back that way. I am almost salivating just thinking about it. (Christi, if you're reading this, I am SO going to join in on Shake Fridays this week!)

And while we're talking about things that are evil...April Fool's Day. I'm not a fan. Maybe it's because my husband is kind of a jokester 80% of the time and it's tiresome -- or perhaps it's because since my daughter has been home from school today she had told me countless tall tales followed by a loud "APRIL FOOL'S" and maniacal laughter. My attempts at pretending that she "got me" are getting pretty feeble.

I have also decided to add "toys my mother-in-law buys my children" to the list of all things evil. The biggest offender today is the electronic tambourine that plays a catchy reggae tune. Catchy that is, until you've heard it 563 times in a row, at which point you are really quite tempted to chuck it through a window -- or to jump yourself!

My list would also have to include Starbucks White Chocolate Peppermint Mocha that sucked me into the drive through line at Starbucks on more than one occasion during the holidays. Oh -- and the Target Dollar spot, which is truly the Target "take all your dollars" spot. Maybe Target in general should be on the list. It has crazy power over one's wallet -- wouldn't you agree??

Oh gosh -- here's another one -- Sweet Tea! It's like crack. (Or what I imagine crack would be like as I honestly have no first hand experience!) When we moved to the South, we quickly discovered Southerners like iced tea that is sickeningly sweet...something we had never experienced. The hubby and I quickly became addicted and were buying it by the gallon at the grocery store. We pretty much OD'ed on it after a few months and broke free of our addiction. But these past few weeks, the occasional 1/2 gallon appears in our fridge. It's yummy!

How about you -- what things would you like to add to my list of things that are irresistable and therefore evil???

I'm sure I could go on, but the kitchen is calling me...it's that time of day when I must attempt to put together a meal that everyone in my house will eat (ha!). Wish me luck!

LOL, Rita!! I hear ya on the toys that mother-in-laws buy! One Christmas, my MIL said to me, "wait until you see what I bought Xander for Christmas. You're just going to HATE it! I bought it just because I knew you would hate it!" Nice! (Can you tell I'm NOT a fan of her, lol?!) What was the present you ask? A GIANT bag of ONE HUNDRED balls!! She knows how OCD I am about keeping the house clean, and KNEW it would drive me crazy to have these things all over the place. That's okay, they ahem, somehow made it over to her house where I PROMPTLY let the boys dump them all out over there, and I DID NOT pick them up, either! I know, witchy of me, but I felt she needed to get a taste of her own medicine. And NO, they have NOT made their way back home.

Sweet tea- ah yes, as a southern girl, I know all about the evils of that stuff! It's like water down there! I make it up here, but I make sweet green tea instead.

My list of evil things is TOO long to list, but I agree with everything you said! LOL!

Well, I don't have your Coffee and Tea addiction, so I cannot sympathize with you on those points...annoying toys, yes...how do people know what will annoy the heck out of you? Now a Shamrock Shake...that is an evil concoction.....I have to have one of those this March...but just one.

I am 100% with you on the battery operated toys. We were so sick of all the baby musical toys when Saumya played with it, that Divya got all the toys with no batteries or dead batteries...Ha...ha...ha

I secretly agree with you on the target stuff too, but thats a secret.

No I cannot stand sweet tea... sorry but give me my tea plain, no lemon or sugar..please But did you see McDonalds has sweet tea now? I did stop there often when they had their Shamrock shakes, you know how I am a fan of those.

my mother always bought the loudest, most annoying toys - but once they got here - the batteries mysteriously were lost LOL!!! and the most evil thing i can think of is when your DD uses your debit card one night, and you are one your way to work, sitting at the window at starbucks looking for it so you can get your peppermint mocha frap and you realize she did not put it back in your purse - so not you have to charge it lol!!! m does this all the time lol

LOL! Ever since you mentioned this shake, I have been debating heading out to Chick-fil-a. I think that should be our stop this Friday! hmmm, my DH drinks tea so sweet that it will actually thicken up like syrup if left out...he's from Alabama and I have NEVER understood the appeal of it. LOL! smiles...
