Poor neglected blog...I just haven't been in the mood to write lately. Nothing wrong -- just not motivated I guess. But today, I've had so much caffeine -- just try and stop me!!!
As I mentioned in my previous post, I am currently working on an album called "Say What" that includes pages with funny things my kids say. I've done a few pages, but lately it seems I only want to do pages about my four-year old daughter. She says at least one thing every day that cracks me up. As a mother of three, I feel guilty if my scrapbooking focuses on one child for too long (probably silly, but I can't help it!). Nick doesn't talk yet, so if I do pages about him, it will be about his little "quirks" for now. But I have a bunch of Ryan stories that deserve pages. And I know I'll do them. But darn it -- Rachel is just at the age where funny things are constantly spewing from her mouth and it makes me want to scrap Rachel stories.
Some of my favorite words from Rachel lately include the "sibe labor" she asked for today. That would be a Lifesaver to you and I. Yet somehow, I knew what she was asking for!
Yesterday as she was eating dinner, she told me how good she was because she was getting lots of "froat-tein" . Froat-tein, protein -- call it what you want.
Yesterday she also told me with a very disgruntled expression on her face "This day is very confused!" I asked her why the day was confused and she rambled on about something her brother had done. Then she said, "This day is so confused...it's reee-dicawous!" (yes, ridiculous). "Re-dicawous" seems to be a favorite expression of hers lately.
Sometimes I 'm sure only I find humor in these things. Maybe putting them in writing is not as funny. When the kids say them, I hear their cute voices and the emphasis they put on certain things. I also think if you know their personalities it makes a big difference. But I just want to remember all of these things. When my kids are in their twenties and I'm at home, sobbing because they've grown up, I want to read these things and get a good laugh.
So am I making a point here? No, not really. Just rambling (blame the caffeine). But if any of you ever have to suffer through my scrapbook pages that might not make much sense, just know they mean something to me, no matter how silly they might seem!

LOL! I think that your stories are really cute. I love it when little ones use big words like ridiculous...it's just too darn cute! Smiles!
Go for it! And scrap all the cute things they say. They grow up so fast.
