What is not to love about Fall?? The cool, crisp mornings, the beautiful evenings, the vibrant colors, the intense blue skies, watching football, making soup and chili, enjoying hot coffee and cider....I just love everything about Fall. It energizes me more than any other time of year. I only wish it would last longer. Although I guess here in the South, it isn't too bad...our worst winter months don't seem to hit until the new year, so I guess Fall does hang on a little longer.
These photos are from last year, but they make me anxious for the changing colors and our annual trip to the pumpkin patch.
This week, I am determined to have a good, productive week. I think I had at least three days last week where things just did not go as planned. I kept busy -- yet at the end of the day I felt I had nothing to show for it. I absolutely hate when that happens.
I was also forgetful -- like Saturday, when I was in charge of soccer snacks for my son's team -- and I COMPLETELY forgot! I have never done that. Do you know how awful it makes you feel when eleven hungry, hot and tired boys are looking at you for snacks and drinks and you don't have a darn thing for them??? I felt so terrible.
My mind was full of too many things last week and there literally wasn't room to write everything on my calendar. I need everything on my calendar -- or as I proved to myself -- I forget! This reminds me of a favorite saying of my old boss -- "A short pencil is better than a long memory!" That is definitely the truth!
This week will be better -- I am even going to re-do that darn scrapbook page from my previous post -- it is really bugging me! LOL
I think I need to do a blog giveaway to start my week off right. Leave me a comment about one or more of your favorite things about Fall -- I will then randomly select one name on Friday for a little prize!
Hope you enjoyed your weekend -- have a fantastic week!
(By the way -- several of you have asked where I got my "favorite quotes" box on my sidebar. It's from the site Goodreads.com -- if you are a member, it's under explore and you can pick a bunch of your favorite quotes then get a link to add to your blog! And if you are a member and want to link with me as a friend -- send me an invite! I'd love to see what you're reading!)

Fall has always been my favorite season, too! With spring a close second. Mike and I were married in October so our wedding photos would have beautiful fall colors
:0)
I love the fall because of the pumpkins. And the colors and the feel of outside where it is not too warm and not too cold,at least thats how it is here in NC.And I love berry wreaths.
Good to hear you more positive this week. :)
Enjoy the season.
Me? I love fall clothes. Lol!
Love your photos! Fall is my favorite as well! You know what I'm sure everyone has forgot snacks for their kids event at least once! It is truly hard to remember everything! If you find a way you have to share! HA
What I love about fall...... football, the leaves (being from AZ, you get desert, desert, and desert), sitting outside in the evenings watching the kids play, camping, and smores!
There is nothing better than sitting outside with a sweater, while there is just a little chill in the air.
But what I really like is that it gets dark earlier, so your not putting the kids to bed with the sun still out. Much easier!
Ok, Fall is not my favorite season, but it's better then Winter. I really don't like that season.
I love word whomp, it's my favorite online game. I'm happy to know that you had fun with that game too.
Sorry I have been a bad blogger.
Sounds like your week was a rough one, hopefully things will be better this week.
OH and what a cute layout of Nicholas 1st day of school, he is such a ham.
I love fall, the sound of crunching leaves, the smells in the air, going to get pumpkins which goes along with taking the kids to the pumpkin farm.
As for picking one favorite I don't think I could.
Fall is my favorite season too. My favorite thing has to be the colors. Love those rich earthy tones.
I knew I had seen that inspirational quote thingee somewhere before...my friend Kathy is sporting it on her blog too.
I do not need to be put in for a raffle...cause heaven knows, I ain't getting you anything in return...But I LOVE the fall too.
It's my birthday in NOV. I love the colors...especially the red hues. I love the weather...the weather and can I say the weather again.
Oh, and for some reason I always think of homemade root beer and doughnuts.
One thing I hate about the fall...pumpkin spice candles...they take me back to my first pregnancy when I was very SICK!!! One sniff and I feel like I have to climb into bed to crawl to a toilet and puke!
And, I bet no one is going to leave a better comment than that!
Love the photos..especially the contrast with the blue sky.
I don't usually but this year I am loving fall... and even in the years when I din't like chilly fall air, I did enjoy spending time at the apple orchard...
And I am sure with that attitude of your the week is going to be just as you expect it to be... wonderful
I love the crisp air, the leaves crunching under my feet, and the beautiful colors of the trees. Summers always seem to be so busy for me that fall is my chance to relax and slow down a bit (most years, anyway).
I Fall for Fall
I brake for orange leaves.
Sorry to say...I don't love football...Like Superbowl Sunday though...Hmmm, I wonder why?
